Betty Peters

Betty J. Peters, 91 of Slatington died Wednesday January 18, 2017. She was the wife of the late Wilbert N. Peters. Born in Weisenberg Twsp, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Annie A. (Smith) Wisser. Betty worked for LF Grammes, Concept Engineering, and also as a private caregiver. She was a member of Friedens UCC, Slatington, the Schnecksville senior citizens, Fogelsville senior group, and Greenawalds senior group.
Survivors: Sons; Robert G. Peters and wife Yvonne of Slatington, Sherwood N. Peters and wife Tammy of Walnutport. Daughter: Wanda J. and husband Richard Binder of Slatington. 14 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren. Sisters; Dorothy Warmkessel, Ruth Greenawald, and June Hunsicker. She was pre-deceased by a son, Larry, a granddaughter Stacey, brothers William, Kenneth, and Thomas Wisser, and a sister Pauline Schleicher.
Services: 11am Saturday January 21, 2017 Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington PA. Calling hour 10-11am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Friedens UCC Church Cemetery, Slatington
