Friends...
As the situation around novel coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to evolve, we are doing everything we can to ensure safety to those we serve. Because we value the health and safety of the families we serve and that of our staff. We want to reassure you that Harding Funeral Home Inc. is doing what we can to protect those that enter our doors during the threat of coronavirus (COVID-19).
Our funeral home continues to be aware of the updated information including ongoing briefings and enhanced operating protocols from local and national funeral associations, the Lehigh County Government and the CDC. In response to the guidance we received, we have taken the following measures to serve you.
In Summary, we have increased our efforts to keep our facility clean and sanitized in every area of our funeral home frequented by the public and our staff.
In addition, all employees will continue to follow CDC best-practice guidelines to prevent the spread of viruses and we encourage our families and guests to do the same: Stay at home when you are sick. Wash hands frequently. Cover mouth with tissues when coughing or sneezing. Avoid people who are sick with respiratory symptoms.
Despite these measures to protect families and employees, there may be some who express concern about coming into the funeral home due to the virus threat. To these we want to convey that much of the arrangement conference can be accomplished electronically, whether over the phone, online or by email. Feel free to ask if you have further questions regarding this.
There may be other families who are concerned about their friends and loved ones attending a funeral service. We want to offer options including live streaming of all services or the scheduling of a memorial service at a later date after the burial or cremation takes place.
We will update this information as details become available.
