Doris F. Andrews, 88 of Palmerton, formerly of Slatington died Thursday January 26, 2017 in Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehab Center, Lehighton. She was the wife of Frank M. Andrews; they were married 64 years last June. Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Gurney E. and Sallie A. (Eckhart) Heiney. Doris worked for western electric for 25 years before retiring in 1981.
Survivors: Daughters; Jane and husband Michael Scott of Slatington. Louanne Verba of Slatington. Grandchildren; Joe Scott, Emily Verba, and Crystal Myster. Great Grandchildren; Kayla Brensinger, Gabrielle Myster, Addyson Myster, and Lillian Scott.
Services: 11 AM Wednesday February 1, 2017 Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 649 W. Washington St, Slatington PA 18080. Calling hour 10-11 at the church. Burial of cremains to follow at Parish Cemetery.
Contributions: In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Northern Lehigh Food Bank, 7884 Center Street, Emerald PA 18080.
