Gary Lueders

Gary A. Lueders, 69, of Slatington, passed away July 3, 2013, in his home. He was the husband of Linda D. (Warmkessel) Lueders, they celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary this past September. Born in Reedsburg, WI, he was the son of the late Paul and Violet (Meyers) Lueders. Gary was employed by Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 32 years as the supervisor of Corporate Services. Prior to that he worked for CB & Q Railroad, Chicago. Garys community involvement included N.L. Booster Club Football, and Baseball coach. Cub Master for Cub troop 66, Slatington. Slatington Lions Club former officer, board member, and he received the Melvin Jones Award. Survivors: Wife; sons, Darrell L. Lueders and fiancee, Heather L., Kunkletown, Darin M. Lueders and wife, Laura, Nazareth; brother, Gale Lueders and wife, MaryAnn, Kiel, WI; sisters, Joan Carson, Madison, WI, Judy, wife of Daniel Gowey, Appleton, WI; grandchildren, Zachary, Daphney, Dawson, and Derrick. Services: Funeral service 11 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2013, in Harding Funeral Home Inc., 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington. Calling hour will be 10 to 11 a.m. Interment Union Cemetery, Rte. 873, Slatington, PA. Contributions: In Iieu of flowers, contribution to St.Johns UCC, orSlatington Lions Club, both c/o the funeral home.
