Harry Ahner, Jr.

July 22, 1939 — April 1, 2018

Harry E. Ahner, Jr., 78, of Slatington passed away Sunday April 1, 2018 in his home.   He was the husband of Janice E. (Ziegler) Ahner; they celebrated their 58 wedding anniversary last July.   Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late Harry E. Sr., and Laura (Blose) Ahner.  Harry worked for Ziegler’s Hauling for many years.   Prior to that, he worked for General Motors Corp. in NJ.  He was a member of the Slatington Skeet Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons: Kevin Ahner and wife Linda, of Susquehanna, Todd Ahner and wife Tina, and Darren Ahner both of Slatington; daughters: Elaine and husband Larry Trimble of Palmerton, Dawn and husband Colby Nauman of Mount Wolf, and Amy Reimer  and her fiancé Jason Ancewicz of Slatington; Grandchildren: Michael, Christina, James, Steven, Tanya, Caleb, Samuel and Hannah; Step-Grandchildren: Jessica and Amy; Brother: Robert Ahner and wife Linda of Nesquehoning.  He was pre-deceased by brothers Russell, Clair, Herbert, Arthur, and Milton, and a sisters Irene and Esther.
Services will be held at 11A.M. Saturday April 14, 2018 at Northern Lehigh Bible Fellowship, 840 S. Best Ave, Walnutport PA 18088.   Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Northern Lehigh Bible Fellowship Church.
