James Fritzinger

James “Jim” Fritzinger, Sr., 77, of Walnutport passed away Thursday April 5, 2018.  He was the husband of Joan (Wieand) Fritzinger for the last 59 years.  Born September  9, 1940, he was the son of the late Paul and Ann (Evans) Fritzinger.  Jim was employed by Horsehead Industry of Palmerton, formerly NJ Zinc Co. for 38 years.  He retired in September 2002.  Jim loved golfing, hunting and fishing.  He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching westerns.  He was called many names, but his favorite was Pappy.  His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his greatest joy.  Jim loved spending time with his family.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife; children Kim Sheckler wife of Glenn of Palmerton, James Fritzinger, Jr., husband of Paula of Kunkletown, Donna Herzog wife of Joseph of Lehighton, Terri O’Donnell wife of Robert of Palmerton; grandchildren Chad Fritzinger, Melisa Beahn, Adam Sheckler, Tara Olson, Greg Herzog, Kayla Boyer, Tiffani Large & John Large; 6 great grandchildren; sister Sandy Yardumian, Susan Williams, Sally Miller.  He was preceded in death by his brother Tom Fritzinger.
A memorial service will be at 11 A.M. on Monday April 9, 2018 at Hope Lutheran Church, 4131 Lehigh Dr, Cherryville PA 18035, Calling hour 10 to 11 A.M. at the church.  Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
