I was so shocked and saddened to read about Nikis passing. She was so kind was my husband was ill. We had talked at Weis and it was a day of bad news. A few hours later Niki arrived at my door with meatballs, chicken , pasta, and cookies. It was a kindness I will never forget. She was a beautiful woman inside and out. I am so sorry for your loss

I can still remember my first interaction with Nicky as a freshman pitcher obviously she was very talented but it was her spunk and personality that got my attention! She had anever quit determination and a desire to succeed! Those qualities endeared her to her teammates and coaches. Nicky was a huge part of the 1988 State Championship team. I still can remember how excited she was in her Channel 13 interview after she pitched our team to our state semifinal win over Minersville. Nicky was everything you wanted in a playertough, determined and coachable. The only times when she got mad at me was when I wouldnt let her bat!I was fortunate then after Nicjy graduated, married and then became a mom , to have her come back and coach our pitchers . It was great having Nicky and her dad being a big part of NL softball again.. and we enjoyed our post game dinners. But mostly it was great to see her again to enjoy her laughter and personality . And to see her as a mom! She loved Joseph and Michael so much and was so proud of all they did!Joann and Gary and family, my deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to you all I know how much you all loved her and how much she will be missed.. I also loved her like daughter and feel the pain of her loss. May God comfort all of you in the coming days with the loving memories that you have of her .
