Ronald Perkowski

Ronald T. Perkowski, 56, of Slatington died unexpectedly Friday, July 26, 2013, in his home. He was the husband of Diana M. (Zeleznock) Perkowski; they celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary last November. Born in Hazelton, he was the son of Anna (Betley) Perkowski of Hazelton and the late Raymond Perkowski. Ron was self-employed as owner/operator of Perks Tile & Marble Inc. for more than 25 years. He was avid outdoorsmen who loved hunting, fishing, and kayaking. He was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington. Survivors: Wife; mother; daughters, Heather and husband, Ryan Libby, of Shamokin, Kayla Perkowski of Slatington; son, Ryan Perkowski of Slatington; grandchildren, Brandon and Logan; brothers, Thomas Perkowski and wife, Gaby, of TX, Richard Perkowski and wife, Theresa, of Ebervale; sister, Judy and husband, Thomas Vercusky, of Hazelton; several nieces and nephews. Services: 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2013, Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 649 W. Washington St., Slatington. Calling hour 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 30, Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington, and 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the church.
