Rudolph J. Zuanet
Rudolph J. Zuanet, 85 of Slatington died Thursday September 13, 2012 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Roberta M. (Gross) Zuanet. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Maria (Buttazzi) Zuanet. Rudolph was a fantastic artist, and received a scholarship to the Baum School of Art. A highly decorated US Army Veteran, Rudolph earned more than 20 medals for his service in both WWII and the Korean War. He worked as an installer for the former Western Electric, now known as Lucent, for 31 years before retiring. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 16, Slatington and the VFW in Egypt. Rudolph was an avid dog lover.
Survivors: Daughters; Michele A. Zuanet and fiancÃƒÂ© Conway O. Hughes of Palmerton, Gina M. and husband Dale Lakatosh, Jr. of Slatington. Step-children; Nicholas Gross and wife Kim, Tamie and husband Jose Ramirez, and Michael Kline. 11 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren. Brother; Lorenzo Zuanet. Sisters; Angelina Graner, Pam Remmel, and Anna wife of Dale Schneck.
Services: Memorial Service will be held 4PM Wednesday September 19, 2012 Harding Funeral Home 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington PA.Calling hour 3-4PM at the funeral home.
