Willard Stitt

Willard A. Stitt, 73 of Walnutport died unexpectedly Saturday January 5, 2013. He was the husband of Doris (Grunstra) Stitt; they celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary this past February. Born in New Castle, PA he was the son of Clara (Mercer) Stitt of New Castle, and the late Willard Stitt. Willard served in the US Army during peacetime from 1959-1962. He worked in the maintenance department for Catasauqua School District, retiring in 2001.

Survivors: Wife, sons; Michael Stitt of Oak Lawn, NJ, William Stitt and wife Dana of Long Valley, NJ. Daughter; Jennifer and husband Lars Darling of Sussex, NJ. 3 Step Children, 8 Grandchildren. Brother; Joseph Stitt of New Castle. Sister; Garnett Shreckemgost of New Castle.

Services: 3pm Thursday January 10, 2013 Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington Calling hour 2-3PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
