Agnes M. Evans

Agnes Evans of Occoquan, VA, formerly of Slatington, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, surrounded by her loving daughters. She was the wife of the late Burton “Clem” Evans. Born October 25, 1933, in Palmerton, she was the daughter of Peter and Tatiana (Skopets) Lukasevich. She was a devout lifelong Catholic.
She is survived by her son: Charles Evans and wife Cynthia Cook of Reston, VA; daughters: Tanya Evans of Front Royal, VA, Cathi Evans and husband Richard Leveridge of Occoquan, VA; grandchildren: Tom, Kathryn, John; four-legged loving companion, Natasha. She was predeceased by her son, Lt. Thomas Evans in 1984.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 649 W. Washington Street, Slatington. No calling hours. Interment to follow at Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Agnes’ memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis TN 37501.  Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
