Arlene R. Reinhard

July 12, 1941 — October 14, 2022

Our beautiful mother, Arlene R. Reinhard, 81, of Slatington, formerly of Troy, PA,  entered into the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, October 14, 2022, surrounded by her family in her home. She was the beloved wife of Richard “Smokey” Reinhard, celebrating their 62nd anniversary this past 29th of May. Born in Hazleton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Anna (Leininger) Craigle.

Arlene worked in production at B. Braun for many years before her retirement. She attended both Bethany Wesleyan Church of Cherryville and Blue Mountain Community Church of Palmerton. She shared an intimate personal relationship with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

What meant most to Arlene was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Her love for her husband was beyond measure. She was a selfless servant; the most faithful, loving, dedicated wife and mother. She exuded unconditional love and forgiveness to all people. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her husband, Richard, she will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Deborah Koch and husband Timothy of Ephrata, Lori Strohl and husband Glenn of Palmerton, Denise Bayda of Walnutport, Vicki Jacoby and husband Russell of Slatedale, and Sandra Valentino and husband Chris of Slatington; 13 grandchildren: Kristin, Jared, Angela, Nicole, Vanessa, Kayla, Adrienne, Justin, Josh, Tiffany, Razz (Deceased), Jess, and Jake; and thirty great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Marian Harrigle, Joyce Steigerwalt, Gloria Atherholt, Dot Hartman, Nancy Morris, and Donna Craigle.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Blue Mountain Community Church, 25 Oak Street, Palmerton, PA.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 10-11 AM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are under the direction of Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Arlene’s name can be made to one of the following ministries: Compassion International at Compassion.com or CareNet at Care-net.org.
