Barry L. Berger

Barry L. Berger, 86, of Slatington, passed away Monday, July 6, 2026, in his home. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Green) Berger, whom he married on September 5, 1959. Born in Palmerton on September 21, 1939, he was the son of the late Ivan Berger and Emily (Schramp), wife of Harvey Rader. For 35 years, Barry worked in the maintenance department for the former Keystone Lamp Factory, Slatington. While there, he served as president of Steel Workers Union 3759. Barry was an avid hunter and trap shooter and was a life member and former president of Blue Ridge Rod & Gun Club and member of the Suburban Trap League. He was also a life member of the Slatington Skeet Club and the Star Hose Fire Co.

In addition to his wife Barbara, he will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Babette, wife of Warren Guss of Slatington; son, Brent Berger and wife Connie of Slatington; Grandchildren, Patrick Guss, Brett Emiy Daku; Great-grandchildren, Victoria, Emma, Emily. He was pre-deceased by siblings, Dolores Ungaretta and Ronald Berger.

Servies will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
