Bernice Wanamaker

Bernice L. "Mem"쳌 Wanamaker, 78 of Northampton formerly of Slatington died Wednesday May 21, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of the late Valent K. Wanamaker. Born in Rockville, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Agnes (Mae) Hess. Bernice worked for the former Win Mor manufacturing in Danielsville as a sewing machine operator. She was a former member of the Vigilant Fire Co., Slatington and enjoyed bingo, camping, and road trips with her family.

Survivors: Daughters; Jocelyn Wedge of Coplay, Mary Eck of Palmerton, Dianna wife of Dennis Evert of Walnutport, Patti wife of Eric Smith of Shoemakersville. Son; Kenneth A. Wanamaker and wife Tammy of Northampton. 19 Grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren. Sisters; Minerva Latschaw, Reno Gogel, Barbara Kresge. Bernice was pre-deceased by a son Paul V. Wanamaker, a granddaughter Ruthann Bernice, and brothers; Willard, Carl, Dorson, John, Donald, and Arthur Hess.

Services: 11AM Wednesday May 28, 2014 Harding Funeral Home 25-27 N. Second St, Calling hour 6-8PM Tuesday May 27, and 10-11 Wed at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Slatedale Cemetery.
