Carol A. Diehl

Carol A. (Kern) Diehl, 79, passed away peacefully from this life on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Rosewood Rehab Center, Schuylkill Haven.   She was the wife of the late Richard Diehl who passed away in June 2020.  Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary (Holtzer) Kern.  Carol was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She worked in the garment industry until retiring in 2008.  In her early retirement years, she enjoyed going to the shore in Delaware.  
She is survived by daughters: Debra (Diehl) Ziegler and husband Robert, Cheryl (Diehl) Ehret; grandchildren: Ryan Ziegler and wife Sam, Kyle Ziegler and wife Geena, Brad Ehret, Brent Ehret; great-grandchildren: Quintin Ziegler, Phoebe Ziegler, Noah Ehret, Annalise Ziegler; brothers: Edward Kern and wife Linda, David Kern and wife Sue, Bruce Kern; Sisters: Janice Brown and husband James, Pamela Dankanich and husband Michael.  She was pre-deceased by a son, Tracy Diehl, and brothers, Wayne and Richard Kern.
Private family service will be held, no calling hours.   Arrangements Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
