Charles Scott Gordon

April 2, 1954 — May 19, 2023

Slatington

Charles Scott Gordon, 69, of Slatington, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, in his home.    He was the husband of Eileen M. (Peters) Gordon, whom he married on December 17, 2004.    Born in East Stroudsburg on April 2, 1954, he was the son of the late Douglas E. Gordon and Margaret K. (Kimari) Price.   Scott served his country honorably and proudly as a member of the US Army.   The majority of his working years were spent overseas in countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan, working as a security sub-contractor for various companies, most recently SOC and Triple Canopy.

A witty sense of humor, he kept everyone on their toes.    A perfect day for Scott included 18 holes of golf in the morning, followed by an afternoon sitting around his pool with a cocktail in one hand and a cigar in the other.

In addition to his wife Eileen, he will be lovingly remembered by daughters: Heather and her husband Shawn Searfoss of Jim Thorpe; Chelsi Gordon of Tacoma, WA; Two Grandchildren; brother: Steven Gordon of TN; sister: Leslie Ogle of TN; and also nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his bulldog and faithful companion, Stanley Thomas.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, May 26, 2023, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington.   Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30AM to 11AM.   In lieu of flowers, contributions in Scott’s name can be made to either Tunnel to Towers Foundation, T2T.org, or an animal charity of your choice.
