Charles Mankos

December 5, 1945 — June 9, 2017

Charles J. Mankos, 71 of Allentown passed away Friday June 9, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Lisa D. (Brunner) Mankos; they celebrated their 13 anniversary last July. Born in Palmerton, he was the son of the late John and Ruth (Marlatt) Mankos. Charles served in the US Navy in the Combat Construction Battalion, and was stationed in Chu-Lai Vietnam from 1966-1967. In 1969 he started working for Mack Trucks and retired in 2010 as a production tech in the final department. Charles was a member of the American Legion Post 16, Slatington, and the Emmaus Fire House #2.
Survivors: Wife, Sons; Chad C. Mankos and wife Sherry of Slatington, Christopher C. Mankos of Slatington. Daughter; Stacy L. Mankos of Slatington. Grandchildren; Alexia, Mackenzie, & Logan. Brothers; John Mankos of Slatington, Richard Mankos of New Ringgold, David Mankos, Douglas Mankos and wife Laurie both of Slatington, and Dennis Mankos of Emerald. Many Nieces & Nephews
Services: 11am Tuesday June 13, 2017 Harding Funeral Home 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington. Calling hours 6-8pm Monday June 12, and 10-11am Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
