Clarence E. Reph, 88 of Walnutport died Sunday September 11, 2016 in his home. He was the husband of the late Doris J. “Tootie” (Kleintop) Reph. Born in Danielsville, he was the son of the late Stephen and Jennie Kirchner. Clarence proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. He worked as a machinist for Mack Trucks for over 30 years. Prior to that, he worked for the former Bethlehem Steel. He was an active member and 60 year board member of the Diamond Fire Co., Walnutport. and a member of the American Legion, Post 16 Slatington.
Survivors: Son; Ernest Reph of Walnutport. Daughters; Susan and husband Charles Fritz of Walnutport, Nancy and husband Arthur Pelaez of Palmerton, Jane and husband Thomas Rex, Kathy and husband Dennis Zellner all of Germansville. Grandchildren; Tonya, Gary, Bobby, Michael, Jennifer, Amanda and Jennie. Great Grandchildren; Michael, Lucas, Trevor, Paige, Lilly, Logan, Brooklyn, Vivian, Benson, Cohen, Kiley, Jaelyn and Jasmine. Brother; Paul Kirchner of Walnutport. Sisters; Grace Knappenberger of Walnutport, Mae Freed of Slatington, and Doris Joler of Walnutport. Godson; Richard L. Smith, Jr. He was pre-deceased by a great granddaughter Anja.
Services: 2pm Friday September 16, 2016 Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington. Calling hours 6-8pm Thursday Sept 15, and 1-2pm Friday.
Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington.
