David J. Stettler

David J. Stettler, 72, of Walnutport, passed away Thursday, April 25, 2024, in his home.   Born in Palmerton on May 11, 1951, he was the son of the late Harrison and Grace (Seip) Stettler.    He was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1969.  David retired from Weis Markets, Schnecksville, after many years of service.   Prior to that, he worked for the former ACME.   An avid hunter and fisherman, David was a member of the Slatington Skeet Club, and also a life member of the Blue Mountain Fish & Game Club, where he enjoyed seeing the youth getting involved with the outdoors.

He will be lovingly remembered by a daughter: Andrea Stettler and spouse Kelley Schlie of Allentown; brother: Gerald Stettler and wife Karen of Mechanicsburg; sister: Eileen and husband Donald Heiney of Palmerton; Niece & Nephews: Allison & Michael Stettler, Jason Heiney.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington.   Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11AM.   Burial to follow at Slatedale Cemetery.
