Dennis P. Meinhart, 69, of New Tripoli, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025, in his home. He was the loving husband of Catherine S. (Beller) Meinhart, whom he married on December 31, 1984. Born on August 29, 1955, he was the son of Alberta (Miller) Meinhart of Slatington, and the late Kermit L. Meinhart. Dennis starting working as local paperboy in Slatington by pushing the newspapers in a wagon with the assistance of his younger sister Shirley. Dennis served his country honorably and proudly as a Tech Sgt in the US Army during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a ride mechanic foreman for Dorney Park in Allentown for 39 years. An avid outdoorsman and hunter, Dennis loved fishing with his son and grandsons. He also enjoyed bowling and pool, belonging to several leagues. Dennis was a volunteer bowler for the benefit of Big Brothers for years.

In addition to his wife and mother, Dennis will be lovingly remembered by a son: Zachary Meinhart and wife Sarah of Wynnewood; grandchildren: Lucas, Benjamin; sister: Shirley and husband Luke Frantz of Slatington; brothers: Kermit L. Meinhart, Jr. of Slatedale, Eugene Meinhart and wife Janice of New Tripoli; many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2 nd Street, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11AM at the funeral home. Details about interment will be provided the day of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dennis’s name may be made to Hawk Mountain Sanctuary (https://www.hawkmountain.org/give/donate-now).
