Dominick J. DeFuso, 78, of Slatington, passed away, Friday, December 7, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of Veronica C. (Chandler) DeFuso; they were married on June 10, 1972. Born in Hazleton, on October 4, 1940, he was the son of the late James and Edith (Fannicase) DeFuso. Dominick served his country honorably in the US Air Force. He worked for the former Keystone Lamp Factory, Slatington, prior to its closing. He then was employed for Dun & Bradstreet in Bethlehem, working as a mail clerk until he retired in 2009. Dominick was a member of the Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son: Daniel P. DeFuso of Macungie; Granddaughters: Abigail & Madeline; Brother: Michael DeFuso and wife Alice of Weatherly. He was pre-deceased by a brother James Jr. and sister Mary Gutosky.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 649 W. Washington Street, Slatington. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8PM Tuesday December 11, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington and 10 to 11AM Wednesday at the church. Interment to follow at the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Assumption BVM Memorial Fund.
