Donald Henry

Donald K. Henry, 76 of Slatington died Thursday January 9, 2014 in his home. He was the husband of Betty J. (Dorshimer) Henry; they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last April. Born in Danielsville, he was the son of the late Stephen and Jane Kirchner. Donald worked for the former Bethlehem Steel retiring in 1992. He then worked for Livengood Excavators. He was a member of the Diamond Fire Co., Slatington Skeet Club, and a former member of the Copeechan Fish & Game Club.

Survivors: Wife, Daughter; Lynne and husband John Ziegler of Slatington. Son; Todd Henry of Lehighton. Grandchildren; Traviss Henry, Johnathan and Justin Ziegler. Great Grandchildren; Brittni, Meadow and Corbin. Brothers; Clarence Reph, and Paul Kirchner. Sisters; Mae Freed, Grace Knappenberger, and Doris Joler. He was pre-deceased by siblings Harold and Allen Henry, William, Stephen, and John Kirchner, and 3 other young siblings.

Services: 1PM Monday January 13, 2014 Harding Funeral Home 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington. Calling hour 12-1PM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington.
