Donald A. Shellhammer

Donald A. Shellhammer, 67, of Allentown, formerly of Orefield, passed away Monday, January 19, 206, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of the late Michele M. (Youse) Shellhammer, who passed away in 2018. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Clare L. and Joyce L. (Kemmerer) Shellhammer. Donny was a graduate of Parkland High School. He worked as a welder for Air Products for more than 30 years. He was a social member of Cetronia Fire Co. #1, Egypt VFW Post 7293, the American Legion Post 353, Northampton, and the Hockendauqua Hockey Legion 739.

Donny is survived by siblings, Daniel E. Shellhammer (Roseann Holota) of FL, Dave E. Shellhammer of Orefield, Darlene A. Peterson of Macungie; Mother-in-law, Dorothy Youse, sister-in-law, Melinda and husband Michael Jacobson; brother-in-law, Robert Youse. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Dwayne L. Shellhammer.

A graveside service will be held at 11am on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Lowhill Cemetery, 4695 Lowhill Church Rd, New Tripoli. Arrangements have been entrusted to Harding Funeral Home, Slatington. A celebration of life will follow and be held at VFW Post 7293, 5209 Springmill Rd, Whitehall Pa 18052. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donny's memory can be made to either the Fisher House Foundation or the Allentown Cat Clinic, both c/o of the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
