Doris Fox

Doris M. Fox, 85, formerly of Walnutport, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, at Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehab, Lehighton.  She was the wife of the late John A. Fox, who passed away in 2004.   Born in Walnutport on November 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Allen G. and Stella K. (Derr) Fritzinger.   Most of her years were spent working as a homemaker, taking care of her family.  Prior to, she worked for the former Coleman’s Department Store in Northampton.   She was a member of Christ UCC, Walnutport, and was active with the Women’s Guild.
She is survived by a daughter: Wanda and husband Dennis VanBlargan of Palmerton; Granddaughter: Deanne and husband David George, Jr.; Great-Grandchild: Joshua; sisters: Carol and husband Elmer Dorschutz of Allentown, Linda and husband Edward Kern of Orefield.   She was pre-deceased by a son Barry Fox, brother Gene Fritzinger, and sisters Mae Zellner, and Ruth Gable.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, August 26, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington.   No calling hours.  Interment to follow the service at Indianland Cemetery, Walnutport.
