Dorothy Hankee

Dorothy G. Hankee, 88 of Slatington died Tuesday April 2, 2013 in her home. She was the wife of the late Willard J. Hankee. Born in Lehigh Gap, she was the daughter of the late Talmage and Mabel (Strohl) Lever. Dorothy worked in several apparel factories in the Slatington and Walnutport area. She enjoyed bingo, was a member of the Slatington Senior Citizens, and Bethel United Church of Christ, Slatington. Dot's final act of love was corneal donation to the Lyon's Eye Bank.

Survivors: Sons; Jack Hankee and wife Kim, William Hankee and wife Christine. Daughters; Deborah and husband John Romig, Judy Hankee and companion Brian Rubright. 9 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a granddaughter Krysta Hankee, a Brother William Lever, and sisters; Alice Freed, and Betty Cerrone.

Services: 11AM Friday April 5, 2013 Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington. Calling hour 10-11 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington.
