Dorothy D. Lack

Dorothy D. Lack, 94, of Danielsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17th, 2025, in her residence surrounded by family. She was the devoted wife of the late Anthony Lack, Jr., with whom she shared 62 years of marriage before his passing in February of 2014. Born in Coaldale, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Catherine (Boltrukanis) Zelnik.

Dorothy and her husband worked closely to establish L&M Machine Shop in Bath, where she served as both secretary and bookkeeper before retiring. A devoted member of Saint Nicholas Catholic Church in Berlinsville, Dorothy found joy in gardening, watching westerns, casino trips, and traveling. She enjoyed people and established many long-lasting friendships. Above all, she loved her family deeply. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Dorothy is survived by children, Bruce A. Lack of Danielsville, John J. Lack of Walnutport, David M. Lack and wife Deborah of Klecknersville, Sandy, wife of Lawerence Smith of Austin, TX, Lori Ann Roth, wife of Del Ann Beltz of Anchorage, AK; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; brother, Edward Zelnik of Belton, MO. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sisters Mary Koch and Jeannette Hudicka. In her later years, Dorothy was supported by a group of loving caregivers. Special thanks to Debbie Flyte for supporting both Dorothy and Tony for 15 years. Lastly, Dorothy’s canine companions, Toby and Buddy, will always hold a special place in her heart.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, 4412 W. Mountain View Dr, Walnutport, PA 18088. A visitation will be held one half hour prior, from 10:30-11am in the church. Burial will follow services at the parish cemetery.
