Edwin L. Berger

Edwin L. Berger, 89, of Wichita, KS, formerly of Slatington, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026, in his home.  Born in Walnutport on February 25, 1936, he was the son of  the late Alvin and Pearl (Moyer) Berger.  Edwin served his country honorably and proudly as a member of the US Air Force from 1953 – 1956.  He was self-employed, owning a demolition / scrapping business for many years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Gwendolyn A. Studebaker; 2 daughters, Berniece B. Hogan, Anna Mae Berger; 1 grandchild, Christopher Boudreau; 4 great-grandchildren, Demetri Osgood, Malachi Boudreau, Tayla Lyda, Jackson Boudreau; brother, Thomas S. Berger; sisters, Pearl Borger, Dorothy Nierer.

A funeral service will be held at 2:30PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 1:30 to 2:30PM at the funeral home. Interment with military honors to be held at Fairview Cemetery, Slatington.
