Eileen A. Berlin

Eileen A. “Leenie” Berlin, 80, of Slatington, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of David S. Berlin, whom she married on August 14, 1965. Born in Slatington on November 25, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William Jr. and Mildred (Stehler) Edwards. Eileen was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1963. She then earned her cosmetology license from Empire Beauty School. Eileen worked as a beautician for more than 50 years, owning and operating Eileen Berlin’s Beauty Salon. She was a lifetime member of Bethel Congregational UCC, Slatington.

In addition to her husband, David, she will be lovingly remembered by her son, Jeffrey D. Berlin and wife Julie of VT; God-daughters, Michele Eileen Harding, Tiffany Neishewat. She was preceded in death by siblings, Vivian Edwards, Hallie Turner, William Edwards, III.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30PM on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd Street, Slatington. No calling hours. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Eileen’s memory can be to either Bethel Congregational UCC or the Lehigh Valley Humane Society, both c/o the funeral home.
