Elaine E. Edwards, 83, of Slatington, passed away, June 15, 2010, in Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehab Center, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late Walter "Gubon"쳌 Edwards. Born in Walnutport, she was the daughter of the late Raymond & Gertrude (Kane) Benninger. Elaine worked in the jewelry department at the Hess's Department store in Allentown for many years and then at the Keystone Knitting Mill. She was a member of the Allen O. Delke American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Hose Co. #1 in Slatington.

Survivors: Son, Robert "Yogi"쳌 W. & wife Teresea Edwards of Catasauqua, daughters, Trudie & husband Douglas Lilly and Nancy J. & husband Michael DeFrain both of Slatington, eight grandchildren and one great grandson.

Services: 11:00am, Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington. Calling hour from 10:00am to 11:00am in the funeral home.
