Eleanor J. Lalik

Eleanor J. Lalik, 77, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg. She was the beloved wife of Peter S. Lalik, with whom she shared 35 years together. Born on November 25, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Walter G. and Gertrude J. (Hill) Scott.

Eleanor worked for Gracedale Nursing Home, where started in the housekeeping, before retiring as a nurse’s assistant. Prior to that, she worked as a bartender for the family business, the former The Anchor Hotel in Walnutport. She enjoyed traveling, especially taking trips to Ocean City, Maryland, with her husband, Peter, where they made many cherished memories together.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

In addition to her loving husband, Peter, she will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Rodney W. Hughes and wife, Darla of Whitehall, Debra Andrews of Emerald, and Thomas Hughes of Bethlehem; four grandchildren, Samantha, Dena, Shane, and Connor; six great-grandchildren, Mikayla, Jordan, Jayce, Jayvien, Rowan, and Raina; and three siblings, Ann Edwards, Lynn Krum, David Scott and wife, Carol.; many nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by siblings, Joseph Scott, Ginny Eckhart, and son-in-law, Jonathan Andrews.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington, PA 18080. A viewing will be held from 10-11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Slatedale Cemetery. Harding Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with Eleanor’s arrangements.
