Eric N. Smith

Eric N. Smith, 43, of Albrightsville, formerly of Whitehall, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.   Born in Allentown on October 25, 1978, he was the son of Stacy L. and Barbara A. (Rowlands) Smith.   Eric was a graduate of Northern Lehigh High School Class of 1997.  Most recently, he worked in the maintenance department for Helfrich Apartments, Whitehall.   Eric was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching wrestling and football each weekend with friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister: Megan and husband Edwin Renninger, III of Mount Pocono; Grandfather: Ernest Smith; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends he considered family.  He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Robert & Margaret Rowlands and paternal grandmother, Nancy Smith.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Monday, August 1, 2022, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 6 to 8PM on Sunday, July 31, and 10 to 11Am on Monday.   Interment will be private.   In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
