Erwin Zellner

Erwin E. Zellner, 83 of Slatington died peacefully Wednesday July 19, 2017. He was the loving husband of Mildred I. (Kern) Zellner; they celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary last September. He was the son of the late Elmer and Naomi (Heil) Zellner. Born in New Tripoli, he was a farmer for many years until managing the Slate Bowl in Slatington. Erv worked as a mechanic for Mack Trucks for 31 years before retiring in 1996. He was a member of St. John's UCC, Slatington. He was past president and past vice president of the Slatington and Walnutport senior citizens. He was passionate about bowling and camping with his family.
Survivors: Wife, Sons; Dennis K. Zellner and wife Sharon, Brian L. Zellner and companion Sally Houser, Daniel W. Zellner and wife Annette all of Walnutport. Daughter; Cynthia L. and husband Donald Craft of Schnecksville. Grandchildren; Kimberly, Jeremy, Tracy, Ryan, Cory, Ariel, Autumn, Ryan & Stephen. Great Grandchildren; Gage, Jada, Jenna, Jacob, Carter, Tristan & Wyatt.. Nieces & Nephews. He was pre-deceased by a daughter Karen.
Services: 11am Monday July 24, 2017 Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington PA. Calling hour 10-11 at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington.
