Ethel M. Brazes

Ethel M. Brazes, 100 years loved, of Walnutport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.   She was the wife of the late Alben G. Brazes who passed away in 1997.   Born in Allentown on February 6, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Emma (Gerhard) Schnable.   Ethel worked as floor lady for the former Paris Neckware for many years before retiring.   She enjoyed bowling, card clubs, trips to the Casinos and holding babies in her arms.
She is survived by daughters: Patricia F. Solt of Lancaster, Diane M. and husband Steven Trainer of Palmerton;  Grandchildren: Jeff Snyder, Jason Trainer and wife Chris, Stephanie and husband Todd Bonser, Kami Cordner, Tracy Brazes, Chris Brazes, Shaun Bandzi and wife Mari Beth; 13 Great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by children Robert A. Brazes, Frances D. Snyder, and siblings, Emerson, Kermit, Ronald and Dorothy.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington PA.  Family and friends may visit with the family from 10 to 11AM.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 40 S. 2nd Street, Slatington PA 18080.
