Ethel E. Jones, 99, of Slatington, passed away October 25, 2010 in her home. Born in Cherryville, she was the daughter of the late Charles & Florence (Nicholas) Snyder and the step daughter of the late Antoinette Snyder. She was the wife of the late John D. Jones. Ethel was owner and operator of Jones Coal Hauling in Slatington for many years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Slatington where she sang with the choir and played in the Ding-Dong.Band.

Survivors: Son, James D. Jones of Slatington, daughter, Doris M. Moore of Slatington, daughter in law, Theresa Jones of Florida, son-in-law, Clay Smith of Kempton, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sister, Ruth Voorhees of Florida. She was predeceased by her children, John D. Jones, Carl Jones and Shirley Smith.
