Everett F. "Buddy"쳌 Kaul, 84 of Walnutport died Saturday December 28, 2013 in Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Marilyn E. (Lewis) Kaul; they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary last June. Born in Walnutport, he was the son of the late Everett C. and Dora A. (Snyder) Kaul. Buddy was a 1947 graduate of Slatington High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He retired from ConAgra formerly known as Beatrice Cheese, and Lehigh Valley Dairy, as a purchasing agent for the Allentown plant. Buddy was active in the restoration of the Walnutport section of the Lehigh Canal in 1953, and served as the president of the Walnutport Canal Association since Feb 1995.He was a life member of the NRA, and a former Blue Ridge Rod & Gun Club.
Survivors: Wife, Son; David K. Kaul of Lehigh Township. Daughter; Rebecca R. and husband Duane Haas of Slatington. Grandchildren; Allen E. Haas and fiancé Courtney Grym of York, Clinton L and Amy E. Haas both of Slatington. Brother; James Kaul and wife Judy of Allentown. Sisters; Dorothy and husband Maurice Keiser, and Loretta Newhard both of Walnutport.
Services: 11AM Thursday January 2, 2014 Harding Funeral Home 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington. Calling hour 9:30-11AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington.
