Forrest A. Buskirk, 92 of Walnutport died Saturday December 13, 2014 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of the late Helen H. (Smith) Buskirk, who passed away in 1990. Born in Danielsville on May 17, 1922, he was the son of Irvin F. and Annie (Fritz) Buskirk. He was employed by Enamelstrip Corp., Cutler-Hammer, and retired from the American Nickeloid Co. He honorably served his country in the US Army during WWII, in the Asian Pacific theatre. He was a lifetime member of Salem United Methodist Church in Danielsville, and also attended Faith Church of Christ in Berlinsville for many years.
Survivors: He will be dearly missed by daughters Leatrice L. Mills of Slatington; Carlotta H. wife of David Keefer of Whitehall; and Eunice E. Buskirk of Walnutport with whom he resided. Grandchildren; Erin wife of Scott Meder of Germantown, MD; Lauren wife of Jared Parker of Elkton, MD; Sarah Mills of New Ringgold; and Christopher Mill and wife Kayla of New Tripoli; 4 great grandsons. He was preceded in death by son Lamont F. Buskirk in March of this year.
Services: 12pm Thursday December 18, 2014 Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington. Calling hour 6-8pm Wednesday December 17, and 11am-12pm Thursday. Interment to follow with military honors at Danielsville Union Cemetery.
