December 5, 1972 — June 12, 2025

Slatington

Frank Andrew Halkias, 52, of Slatington, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at his residence. He was the devoted husband of Barbara A. (Stahler) Halkias, of Slatington, with whom he celebrated 25 wonderful years of marriage this past April 18th. Born in Allentown, Frank was the loving son of the late George Sr. and Irene (Mouzakis) Halkias.

Frank graduated from Parkland High School and went on to attend both Lehigh Carbon Community College and Penn State University’s Lehigh Valley campus. Most recently, Frank served as a manager in ID technology and logistical support services at HNL Lab Medicine, where he oversaw courier operations, fleet management, and mail services. Earlier in his career, he worked alongside his late mother, Irene, at the former Ginny’s Luncheonette in Bethlehem.

Rooted in the Greek Orthodox faith, he was also a dedicated member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Slatington. Frank was a talented and accomplished musician with a deep love for playing the guitar, a passion that resonated throughout his life. Yet, more than any personal accomplishment, he was most proud of being a devoted husband and father. His kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, he will be lovingly remembered by his son, Zachari R. Halkias, and his daughter, Victoria L. R. Halkias, both of Slatington. He is also survived by his faithful companion, Little Bear, his beloved Yorkie, as well as his brother, George Halkias, Jr., of Allentown.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory may be made to The Sanctuary at Haafsville or Community Music School of the Lehigh Valley (CMS) c/o Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington, PA 18080, who will ensure they are forwarded accordingly. Harding Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with funeral arrangements.
