Gary George

Gary R. George, 80, of Walnutport, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospice House, Bethlehem.   He was the husband of Nancy A. (Green) George, whom he married June 25, 1960.   Born in Slatington on January 12, 1941, Gary was the son of the late Winfield and Bessie (Becker) George.   Gary worked for Pfizer for many years.  He was a member of the Slatington Skeet Club.  Gary was an avid hunter & fisherman and loved “just to be out there.”   He also enjoyed rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles.
In addition to his wife Nancy, Gary is survived by daughters: Kim and husband Roy Hicks of Kutztown, Kelly and husband Earl Zellner of Slatington, Kerri and husband Gabe Gardi of East Greenville; son: Chris George and wife Cheri of New Tripoli; 7 grandchildren; soon-to-be 6 great-grandchildren; brothers: James George and wife Eileen, Dennis George.   He was pre-deceased by a brother Donald George and sister Janice Semmel.
