Harold A. Buhl

Harold A. Buhl, 87, formerly of Walnutport, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Parkland Manor.   Harold is survived by his wife, Mary (Barilla) Buhl, of 61 years.  Born in Ashland, PA, on October 23, 1938, he was the son of the late Vernon and Grace (Heffner) Buhl.  After graduating high school, Harold enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he proudly served from 1956 to 1959 and again from 1961 to 1963.  A dedicated craftsman, he spent his entire career as a carpenter, most notably with Eastern Atlantic States from 1965 until his retirement in the early 2000s.  Harold enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and golfing.  He was a member of the Slatington American Legion Post 16, Walnutport VFW, Lehigh American Legion Post 314, and the Lehighton VFW.

In addition to his wife, Mary, Harold will be remembered by his children: Harold A. Buhl, Jr. (Patricia), Joseph Buhl (Noreen), David Buhl (Nadine), Melissa Buhl, and numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd Street, Slatington.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 4-5pm, followed by a brief prayer service from 5-6pm.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harold's memory can be made to the American Legion Post 16, Slatington.
