Hugo E. Rasmussen

Hugo E. Rasmussen, 91, of Catasauqua passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022, in his home.   He was the husband of Bodil (Henriksen) Rasmussen, who passed away in 2021.   Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, he was the son of the late Knud and Marie (Christiansen) Rasmussen.   Hugo was a former mechanic and gas station owner in California.  He was a member of Bornholm #14 Danish Society of Dania, Modesto, CA and a Life Member of The Elks Palmer, Alaska #1842.
He is survived by a daughter Ann Marie and husband John Overdorf, with whom he resided; son: Robert D. Rasmussen and wife Lilly; grandchildren: Jessica Rasmussen, Dayna Rasmussen and fiancé Brandon Kirk, Danielle and husband Nate Henning, Jason Overdorf; great-grandchildren: Isabella, Carter, Emily; brother: Orla Rasmussen of Denmark; many nieces & nephews.  He was predeceased by a son, Peter K. Rasmussen and niece Jeannette Walti.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12noon on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Holy Trinity Memorial Church, 604 4th Street, Catasauqua, PA.   Arrangements are under the care of Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.  Contributions are suggested to Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 4th Street, Catasauqua PA 18032.
