Ib K. Larsen

Ib K. Larsen, 68, of Northampton, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023, in his home.    Born in Aalborg, Denmark on September 27, 1954, he was the son of the late Jørgen and Jytte K. (Sørensen) Larsen.  Ib attended Penn State University.    He was a certified millwright, working through the Lehigh Valley Carpenter’s Union.   Ib was an avid gardener, amateur astronomer, and frequently enjoyed making whale watching trips to New England. He supported local youth by serving as a little league coach in Coplay over the years. He also loved being a member of a local Darts League. He greatly treasured a trove of loyal friends – present and passed - who came to feel like “family” to all the Larsens. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Susanne Larsen Bagby, of Clarkston, GA.

A memorial service will be held at a date in the future.   Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Furkid Pet Rescue, PA; or to the American Red Cross.
