Isaac E. “Ike” Berger, 69, of Walnutport, passed away Monday, July 29, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. He was the lifetime companion of Nancy Hutnick for 48 years. Born in Walnutport on December 9, 1954, he was the son of the late Roy and Elsie (Snyder) Berger. Ike worked as an auto technician for many years. He also worked for the former Deiter’s Foundry and the American Mail-Well. A classic car enthusiast, he enjoyed attended numerous car shows throughout the area.
In addition to his companion Nancy, he is survived by estranged children, Robert & Kimberly Berger; Stepsons: Stephen Hutnick, Sr., and wife Cheryl, Daniel Hutnick and wife Jessica; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters. He was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, Taylor Hutnick, 2 brothers, 1 sister.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10-11 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Grandview Cemetery, Allentown.
