Jack T. Remaley, 74, of Walnutport, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. Born in Allentown on April 12, 1952, he was the son of the late Thomas and Betty (Greene) Remaley. Jack was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1970. He then served his country honorably & proudly as a member of the US Air Force, and was stationed at Ft. Meade, MD. Following his Air Force discharge, he enlisted in the Naval Reserves. Jack retired from Ransom Lift, formerly Forklift Assoc, working as an equipment repairman. Prior to that, he worked for several other companies, including Erschen Automotive, Reichenbach Automotive, AT&T, and Bethlehem Steel. Jack was also a part time automotive repair instructor at LCCC. He was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Slatington.
Jack is survived by cousins, Dorothea Curran, Barry Edwards, Pat Meckes and Debbie Best. He was predeceased by sisters Barbara Unger & Ann Remaley.
A funeral service will be held at 11am Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St, Slatington. A calling period will be held one hour prior, from 10 to 11am. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack’s name are suggested to either the National Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association, c/o the funeral home.
