Jacob D. Breitigan

Jacob D. “Butchie” Breitigan, 76, of Slatington and formerly of Manheim, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.

Born in Lancaster, he was a son of the late Dorothy “Dot” Breitigan. Jacob was a 1966 graduate of Manheim Central High School and attended Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in Lancaster. He worked for many years as Tool and Die Machinist at Dorma Door in Denver, PA and other local companies until retiring in 2010. Jacob loved anything with two wheels – taking care of his truck and tinkering on anything with a motor. In his younger years he also enjoyed fishing.

Survivors: Daughter, Sheila A. Bennett and her husband Allen of Slatington; son, Keith B. Breitigan and his wife Jodie of Slatington; ex-wife and friend, Kathleen S. (Vacula) Breitigan of Walnutport; 3 grandsons, Justin A. Bennett, Jacob D. Breitigan and Nathan E. Breitigan. Jacob was also preceded in death by a brother James Breitigan.

Services will be private at the family’s request. Arrangements are entrusted to the Harding Funeral Home in Slatington.
