Jean M. Hankee

Jean M. Hankee, 83, of Walnutport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday April 6, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Muhlenberg Campus. She was the wife of her late husband Eugene W.  Hankee Jr.  They were happily married for 60 years. Born in Palmerton on February 21, 1939, she was the daughter of late James and Ruth (Mohler) Vorosmarti.

She was a loving mother, former teacher, childcare aide, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her daughters, Christine Diltz of Downingtown, Amy and husband Michael McDermott of Portland Oregon and son Eugene W.  III and wife Sue, of Walnutport.
She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren, Max McDermott, Alexander Diltz, Nicole Diltz, wife of Dr. Ty Sayed, Brittany and Eugene Hankee IV and great granddaughter Hazel Sayed.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington, PA.
