Jeffrey William Kistler, 59, of Slatington, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 16, 2025, in his home, with his companion Rosa and family and friends by his side. Born in Fort Knox, KY on February 18, 1966, he was the son of the late Arthur L. “Ted” Kistler and Rosann (Kern) Frable. Jeff was a graduate of Northern Lehigh High School Class of 1984. He then went on to serve in the US Army, as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. Following his discharge from the Army, Jeff worked as a corrections officer for Lehigh County for more than 30 years before retiring. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post 16, Slatington, Slatington Skeet Club, and the VFW, Post 7215 Walnutport.
Jeff is survived by his companion, Rosa Fritts and fur baby, Taz, children, Brandon Kistler and wife Cassandra, Katelyn Rose Kistler and partner Dane Eck, all of New Tripoli; grandchildren, Jessa & Jameson Kistler, Waylon William Eck; stepmother, Linda (Yenser) Kistler, Brother, Ted E. Kistler, all of Slatington; mother of his children, Melissa Kistler of Germansville, nephews, Ted & Michael Kistler, niece, Kristen Kistler. He was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen.
A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd Street, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:30 am to 12pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Walnutport VFW Post 7215, 202 Cherry St, Walnutport, PA 18088.
