Joanne B. Snyder, 91, of Slatington, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2024, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Bruce Snyder. Born in Emerald on December 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Layoma (Wehr) Turner. Joanne was a factory worker, and worked for various local factories including Paris Accessories, and Peischler’s in Emerald.

She is survived by her daughters: Carla and husband James Caley of Slatington; Lorie and husband Michael Chandler of Slatington, Lynette and husband Carl Sell of Macungie; daughter-in-law: Donna Snyder; grandchildren: John, Josh, Jacob, Matthew, Scott, Christopher, Nicholas, Kelsey, Kennadi; 14 great-grandchildren; sister: Dianna and husband Seth Bernstein of OR. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Snyder, and a grandson, Justin Bachman.

Private family services will be held. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Easterseals, 141 W. Jackson Blvd, Suite 1400A, Chicago, IL 60604.
