Josephine Henderson

Josephine Henderson, 90, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, in her home.   Born in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Pearl R. (Hofmann) Harvilla.   Josephine was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1948, and then attended and graduated from the former Allentown Business School.  Josephine retired from Sears at the Whitehall Mall.  Prior to that, she worked for the former Lehigh Valley Bank and Western Electric.  Josephine was a runway model for various department stores in the Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton areas, as well as Lebanon, Pa and New Jersey.   She was also an instructor at the Judy Greenwoods House of Charm.
She is survived by her son: Brian Oplinger of Waterford, NY.   She was predeceased by her daughter Rhonda Kay Oplinger.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington PA.    Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11AM.   Interment to follow the service at Indianland Cemetery, Cherryville.
