Josephine Konek

Josephine C. Konek, 90 formerly of Walnutport passed away Monday December 5, 2016 in Medina, NY. She was the wife of the late Charles Konek, Sr. Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Pauline (Putera) Polakovics. Josephine worked for the former Paris Neckware for 28 years. Prior to that, she worked for the former Palmer Shirt Co. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Walnutport.
Survivors: Sons; Charles Konek, Jr. and wife Linda of Walnutport, Paul E. Konek and wife Debra of Medina, NY, Peter F. Konek and companion Trish of Slatington. 7 Grandchildren, several great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by siblings Frank Polakovics, Agnes Materna, Roselle Konek, and Mary Zmarzley.
Services: 10am Saturday December 10, 2016, St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 1152 Oak Rd, Walnutport. Calling hour 9-10 am at the church. Interment to follow at the parish cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
