Kandi Jo Heller

Dec 25, 1981 — Jul 22, 2026

Slatington

Kandi Jo Heller, 44, of Slatington, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. Born in Easton on December 25, 1981, she was the beloved daughter of Betty M. (Hardy) McGrath of Palmerton and the late Harry B. Heller, Jr., and the stepdaughter of the late Thomas "Tucker" McGrath III.

Kandi worked at Tik-Toc Family Restaurant where she acquired many connections during her time there. She was truly one of a kind. She wasn’t just the life of the party; she was the party. The definition of a firecracker, she lived boldly, spoke her mind, and embraced life with unmatched energy. She loved to dance, especially to reggae and salsa, and her infectious personality made every gathering brighter.

Queen Kandi was the queen of the castle and the queen of the streets. To her, everyone was family, and everyone she met considered her family. Fiercely independent and unapologetically herself, she never backed down from what she believed in. Her driving skills were legendary. So much so that New York City cab drivers wanted her to work for them, a credential that was certainly résumé worthy. And if you ever needed Kandi, she’d be there…just maybe on Kandi time. She had a way of doing things on her own timeline, but when it truly mattered, she always showed up for the people she loved.

Above all, Kandi cherished her family, especially her sons. She was a devoted mother, loving daughter, cherished sister, and loyal friend who could always be counted on when it mattered most. Her vibrant spirit, generous heart, and unforgettable presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

In addition to her loving mother, Betty, she will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, Carmoni Anthony Spady (22) and Jayvion Donato Clinton (11); two sisters, Amy L., wife of Ed “Ted” Andrejack of Walnutport and Taylor R. McGrath of Palmerton; and one niece, Lina. She was predeceased by her father Harry B. Heller, Jr. and her stepfather, Thomas “Tucker” McGrath III.

In honor of Kandi, our Queen of Christmas, who was born on Christmas Day, we will be celebrating her life with a special Christmas in July tribute.

Guests are invited to bring their favorite Christmas ornament to hang on our memorial tree in celebration of Kandi's lifelong love of Christmas. Following the service, the ornaments will be collected and presented to her family as a heartfelt keepsake, honoring Kandi's love for the holiday.
